Quick definitions of terms used across the app and this manual.
Fits and Slots
Section titled “Fits and Slots”- Fit — a saved ship loadout of modules, drones, and rigs. See Creating Your First Fit.
- High / mid / low slots — module slots for weapons, utility, and damage or tank modules. See Modules and Slots.
- Rig slot — slot for permanent ship modifications that consume calibration. See Modules and Slots.
- Subsystem slot — Tech 3 cruiser slots whose choices shape the hull’s slot layout. See Modules and Slots.
- Service slot — structure slot for service modules such as cloning. See Modules and Slots.
Modules and Modes
Section titled “Modules and Modes”- Tactical mode — a switchable ship configuration on T3 destroyers. See Tactical Modes.
- Online / active / overloaded — module states: fitted and running, actively cycling, or pushed past rated limits. See Overloading Modules.
- Passive module — a module that grants its bonus without being activated.
- Damage profile — the mix of EM, thermal, kinetic, and explosive damage used in calculations. See Damage Profiles.
Characters and Items
Section titled “Characters and Items”- Character — a saved skill profile applied to fits. See Managing Characters.
- Implant set — a matched group of implants with set bonuses. See Implants and Boosters.
- Booster — a consumable that grants temporary bonuses with possible side effects. See Implants and Boosters.
Data and Statistics
Section titled “Data and Statistics”- Channel / server / checkout / snapshot — a channel offers servers; a checkout is your local copy of a data snapshot. See Channels, Servers, and Checkouts.
- EHP — effective hit points: raw HP adjusted by resistances. See Attributes and Statistics.
- DPS — damage per second. See Attributes and Statistics.
- Capacitor stability — whether the capacitor sustains all active modules indefinitely. See Attributes and Statistics.
